I had the great pleasure of chatting with John Comprix at a bar here in the Cleveland area a few weeks ago. He was getting ready to head to Europe with one of his other bands, Ringworm. We talked about his talks with Tim and the next Beyond Fear release, and he assured me that a large portion of it is already written, and that it would contain even heavier riffing than the first one. I told him how much I like first BF disc, and he guaranteed that the new one would kick my ass as well.....I have no doubt!

Tim's myspace page has a blog where he says that we are in for a real treat in the near future. Don't know if that is with IE, BF, or both.

I have been itching for a while for a new Beyond Fear release, this is great news. It`s a case of double Ripper, what with the Iced Earth recordings as well. But Beyond Fear is Ripper`s vehicle, and I am almost certain the second release will be better than the first. A live recording wouldn`t go amiss either, I know it`s early on, but these days you just don`t know? Oh, and a DVD of some sort would be very welcome with plenty of extras...Tim`s past etc. Not just Priest but his earlier works would be very interesting.
