Okay, it's the ultimate showdown between Halford and The Ripper: Which is the better song, Painkiller OR Cathedral Spires? |

Wouldn't Jugulator VS Painkiller make a bit more sense?
Or One Shot At Glory VS Cathedral Spires? _________________

I voted Cathedral Spires. That song is up there with Victim of Changes for its brilliance.
Painkiller with Tim is about tied. I think Tim does a better version than Halford because he can actually sing it properly. He can hit the high notes and doesn't have to resort to using death metal vocals live. _________________

Thank you Bulletproof! Finally someone who agrees with me! LMAO! Yes, I think Painkiller with Tim sounds better than Rob's, but I love both. But Cathedral Spires is just amazing...total masterpiece. Plus, I prefer the heavier side of Priest which is probably why Jugulator is my favorite Priest album, followed by Demolition and Painkiller. That was what introduced me to Priest and that, for me at least, has always been the signature Priest sound. Plus, I love my speed/thrash metal! Tim brought new life in JP, whereas a certain Blaze Bayley, an awesome singer by the way, just wasn't the right guy for Iron Maiden...loved Bayley, just prefer Dickinson. |

I believe he was the right guy for Maiden.
Not a soul on Earth would've sung The X Factor better than he did. _________________
