Well the studio version ofcourse would be the obvious choise, but I think Ripper's voice suited that song really well and he made it even bit heavier...
Nowadays Rob really butchers the song... _________________

After watching it again like seven times in a row on Rising In The East I'm not very hyped to see this one live in four days.
I'll just bring my iPod and listen to the '98 Live Meltdown version when they're playing it. _________________

Well slap my ass and call me Ralf Scheepers just got back from Priest Feast recently and I must say that Rob pulled it off.
I was expecting the butchery of RITE or recent video/audio bootlegs but I can safely say that it's the best I've heard him sing it since '91.
Funny footnote, though. My sister (who I took with me and wasn't particularly a huge Priest fan) noted that during one of the songs Rob looked like he was having a stroke and a heart attack at the same time.
That song turned out to be Painkiller. And she was spot on. _________________

I think we all own that album.
And I can't be the only one who thinks that version sucks major cocks. Only thing that rules is the drums. _________________

Why only two versions? Have you never heard this one, which is quite possibly the best?
Even if you don't like this, you have to admit it's absoloutely CRUSHING. Even Tim couldn't sing like Chuck.

Never heard that one before. Never knew Chuck could sing like that.
Sounds good. _________________

Was that a reply to my post? Everyone here owns "The Sound of Perseverance" do they? Right.
I think the drums in this version are pretty poor actually, sounds like beats are missed to me.
But you know best. As usual. _________________ Xeper
