|
|
So has anyone heard how SPV's current financial state will affect anything that relates to Beyond Fear? The recent interview that Jon did revealed that SPV was pretty much exhausted where funds were concerned, and that could possibly hinder the re-recording of Framing Armageddon, and the boxset in general. Good thing and/or bad thing depending on where you sit with Iced Earth at the moment.
Upon hearing this I immediately wondered what would happen to Tim and Beyond Fear... I mean, if SPV is really as bad off as Jon said, well, wouldn't that likely push back the newest Beyond Fear CD indefinitely (or close to).
Anyone else wonder about this? I don't know, I guess the whole situation has me kind of wondering and I haven't posted about here yet. |

i read the interview and he said spv is going bankrupt..among other things, and if thats the case what will happen to Beyond Fear?? i know Motorhead and Alice Cooper also are with the label but they are established and could find homes other places but Beyond Fear is still young....TIM, START YOUR OWN LABEL! _________________ The bass player/vocalist for In Through the Out Door and the bass player/backup vokills for Die Deader |

I don't really know how anything about how record label bankruptcies work.
If a label goes bankrupt, what happens to the copyrights it owns? Are they considered assets? Do they get sold off?
What happens to the contracts held with bands? Are they nullified?
Are the bands free to shop around for another label, or do they still have any commitments to the former label? _________________

That is troubling news indeed....well I think Tim will let us know how things develop...But if SPV does go belly up, I would imagine that some other label will buy the rights....But nowadays starting your own label might not be a bad idea at all...Blaze Bayley did that and things are going well I think.... _________________

Dont know how to translate to English tongue, but that's my personal thought and i wanted to give it to all of you. if anyone of you dont know spanish or even dont know any web to translate my ideas, sorry!!

I am on SPV's mailing list. I received a email today. They said there is lots of great things to come for the new year, so maybe they aren't in too bad of shape. _________________

maybe it was Jon's way of making an excuse for the reason that the armaggedon boxset won;t be released _________________ The bass player/vocalist for In Through the Out Door and the bass player/backup vokills for Die Deader |

I certainly hope that nothing will happen to SPV...hell, that would probably just slow down the 2nd BEYOND FEAR album even more. _________________ "Stay loud and proud my friend, put techno & rap to the flames" |
