Seriously WTF?!!

Jeff Scott Soto?
Mark Boals?
Joe Lynn Turner?
Mike Vescera?
Mats Leven?
Doogie White?

Yngwie has consistently had amazing singers in his band.
You're a nutbar if you think otherwise...

I'll 2nd that...Yngwie has always had good singers. i love Yngwie's music, just sometimes you need to be in the mood for it, even though all the solo's do sound pretty much the same, he' still an amazing guitar player.

Ok here's something my brother who's 22 said to me last week, i sent him a track from it, my brother says "i dont like it, because its not heavy enough and the singing sucks" lol....now my brother is into Snitknot, Limp Dick, Cradle Of Filth etc...so kinda makes sense....i do think that some people only limit themselves to one style of rock/metal and then assume everything is crap!! i used to be like that only listening to fast/heavy stuff, over the last 10 years ive gotten into virtually all style's of rock/metal. i even listen to blues when im in the mood. I'm not a fan of that grindcore or nu metal sound, the singers usually sound like they are throwing up lol

Well one cannot really call Joe Lynn Turner a good singer let alone amazing...He is mediocre at best..very generic voice...nothing special about him. He did an awful job with Rainbow and even worse with Purple...

I think that's a very inaccurate statement Charger. I Love JLT.
He's one of my favorites. And Odyssey is my favorite Yngwie album,
and is in my top 20 favorite albums of all time. I also enjoy his stuff
with Rainbow, Deep Purple, Turner-Hughes Project, his solo stuff etc.
He's got the most soulful voice in hard rock music.
I love that he's totally an AOR sounding kind of singer. Gives him a
quality that most lack in the genre.

I don't know, personally, I never liked any of the singers that Yngwie had before. I love his music, but the vocals always turned me off. Jeff Scott Soto was ok, but that's about it for me. Tim is by far the best singer he has ever had with him.

someone who is in agreement with me...or it could just be that Yngwie's music would work better as instrumentals cause i am not hating on anyone, god knows they have talent but the combination of the vocalists and Yngwie's music is just not a good marriage

I'm just not a jam shred kinda guy.
I like Yngwie because he writes actual songs with more
of a traditional structure with some instrumental interludes mixed in.
I'm a big classical guy, so it's the perfect kind of shred for me.
Sure, they guy can get repetitive at times, but to me it's about the
writing and he's done some nasty songs. I really love the first four
albums and 7th Sign is another favorite.

I think to me it is the fact that he's an AOR singer...he made Purple almost an AOR band...He's just not my cup of tea, that's all.

I don't like all the Demolition and the IE stuff he did, and I also think that his performance on Perpetual Flame could have been better, but it's not really Tim fault, Yngwie is just not a good producer.

Otherwise I love everything he have done!

well, I love everything about RIPPER, but actually, I don't like some Demeolition songs like Cyberface, etc, the Perpetual Flame is not bad but is not RIPPER's fault, but Death Dealer is great, the others are not too good for me, and maybe Play my Game could be more aggressive, a like it but some songs like Play My Game itself need more screams..............jajajajaja........ Twisted Evil

Thas true i have to admit Play My Game (THE SONG) Is officially my least favorite song of Ripper. I also dont like GRINDER from Judas Priest and it has nothing to do with Tim or the way he sing's it ..it's just a boring song.
I actually erased it when i downloaded the Live in London to my IPOD Laughing

I wonder why Tim likes this song so much that he plays it in his tours? Shocked i think his wasting a good 3-4 minutes i dont know how long it last...but the point is he can be singing something better like Hell Patrol or Some Heads are Gonna Roll you know Wink Very Happy
