This place is billed as the "official" Tim Owens forum.

But does he take anything whatsoever to do with this place now? Is it REALLY anything to do with him, in any official capacity?

I don't think Tim has had any interest in this forum for a long time.

Most bands don't get involved in their message boards. They leave it up for the fans, but they don't usually participate on it.

There aren't many forums out there that aren't dominated by fools. I like posting at the Halford forum, but that's about it.

Yeah, you guys are the only reason I still post here so much, everyone is always cool. Razz

I just wondered because, presumably Tim is paying for this place, yet he doesn't seem to have any interest in it. He has his Myspace and stuff, so it seems kinda superfluous to have this place.
I hope he doesn't read this and decide to bin it!! Laughing

Oh BTW, Karl Sanders from Nile takes a fair bit to do with their forum, he posts in it a lot.
However, the moderators over there are complete dickheads who treat everyone outwith their little inner clique like shit. I got fed up with it when I realised Karl was actually condoning it.

This board has always had a small, but good bunch of members.

Quality over quantity.

What other forums do you guys post at?

Like I said, I'm a regular at the Halford Quorum, but that's it. I like the members there. The few that I didn't like have stopped posting. There was a bit of a shitfest there not too long ago and some people left.

I've tried some general metal boards like Metal Rules and the Brave Words board, but didn't care much for the folks there. You always have a few overbearing arseholes that generally stink up the joint by flaming people they don't like.

you are all a bunch of cool guys. if tim doesnt like to particate from time to time i dont have a problem with that, plus you need to rememebr he is a busy busy guy. and as bullet said plenty of other band or artist forums where the members of the band etc dont post on there...so its no problem.

i used to post on the strapping young lad forums before devin townsend put the band on ice, also used to post on the official steve vai forum, and thats about it. on the vai forums mainly for news of shows etc, i think in 5 years as a member ive only posted about 200 times there, on the syl forums about 100 times in 5 or 6 years. this is the only place where everyone is decent, and a nice chilled place to visit daily and post our bollocks lol
