Priest weren't selling out stadiums like they were in the 80's during Ripper's tenor, but they were still financially viable and I'm sure he made a good chunk of change from the 6+ years he was with them. I'd imagine a few million after all was said and done, but that's speculation.
And I apologize to anyone hurt or disillusioned with my posting, but its very, very, very, VERY true in this day and age. In the last few years, it has gotten REALLY bad for music in general, but especially metal. Where as BF was opening for the reunited Anthrax a few years back, Anthrax themselves can't even have their own headline tour due to lack of funds and they will permanently be delegated to being stuck as an opener for bigger thrash bands, like Megadeth and Slayer. Outside of a club tour (which there's no money in), I doubt they'll ever do a US headine run. The money is all overseas playing festivals.
Album sales don't even matter anymore due to piracy. Essentially, you're lucky if you break even with your label these days on album sales. NO ONE makes money off the actual music. Its ALL merchandise. So, you wanna make sure Tim gets cash? Go directly on his website and buy a t-shirt.
Is it all about the money? No. But...his kids need to eat. You cannot argue with that, no matter how many different ways you pull it apart. _________________

I ordered a t-shirt in May and it still hasn't come. I've emailed and messaged Tim a couple of times, but haven't gotten a response. WTF? _________________

Myke i know exactly what you're saying! and i agree! sure a beyond fear tour would be awesome but the overhead would be too much and why risk his family's well being? because of the issue of $$ i do bands for fun, no major touring, some shows a year for the hell of it....no one has money to do it and is the risk worth it? one guitarist i work with is a paralegal... is it worth it? can you risk it all? the answer is no for alot of ppl and i can see why...Motorhead tours 8 months a year to make money...Twisted Sister refuses to tour because there is no money hence one off shows _________________ The bass player/vocalist for In Through the Out Door and the bass player/backup vokills for Die Deader |

BP, you talk to Tim of Facebook? May be an easier way to reach him. If I'm not mistaken, all his merchandising is done right out of his home, so I imagine his wife and daughter help handle that stuff. Perhaps he can get in touch with them and get your shirt on the fast track _________________

I wonder will Tim debut a new Beyond Fear tune on his European Solo tour that starts on the 9th....
Also I wonder about his band's line-up... _________________

Charger, thanks for the avatar picture! That really means a lot to me that someone from a different country respects 9/11! _________________

Oh yeah you're that new...
I've had this avatar pop up every year for the anniversary...since, I don't even remember when.
The attacks really hit hard for me too and I've always done something special to honor the people who lost lives that day and their families. _________________

Nice man, lots of respect, if only everybody was like that Very tragic day indeed, I would've been devastated if I knew someone who died in the attacks... _________________

Everyone I know over here felt the shock of 9/11 pretty badly. _________________ Xeper

That's definitely a good thing, people over here think it's funny and don't understand it could've been their mother or father in there getting killed... some people are real assholes though _________________
