Wait, huh? I'm not sure you read correct. Priest have stated they would NEVER have Tim or any of his bands open for them on a tour. Obviously if they're booked at festivals with dozens of acts, its happenstance (i.e. when Yngwie played before Priest a few years back at a festival).

oh damn... haahha read that one a bit wrong Embarassed I saw Tim and Priest in the same sentence and got pretty fuckin excited Laughing that blows though... they probably don't want to contrast Rip's screams to Rob's screams.... lol, he puts Halford to shame as of right now anyways, and I think Priest realizes that

LOL that is why they think its Demining to Halford because Tim would really make him LOOK his age!!

Fucking Pricks!

With all do respect, Rob's expire date was long overdue...

sorry, but I have to disagree... Rob's voice is in much better shape now than it was on Nostradamus and AOR, he stopped smoking which helped a hell of a lot. I really hope they are doing what everyone else did and keeps touring after... disappointing that I'm in the wrong generation for heavy metal... COME ON PRIEST WHAT THE HELL......... Evil or Very Mad they better at least put out one more album...

With the deepest of respects for Rob Halford and Judas Priest.
Priest last gig here in Sweden Rob sounded pure crap.
We we're quite shocked to witness how time had ran out from the former Metal God Halford.
Maybe Halford had a bad day, flue or something.
He literally butchered the classic.
Not only miss for miles the high notes, he was all to often out embarrassingly of key.

This is how I wanna remember Rob Halford and Judas Priest.

Huh, 2:50 in the song is out of key here too, whatte...

i think it's easier for him to sing Halford because it's all a full step down, when priest is only a half step down, but I agree, if you listen to Resurrection, he's really on key the whole song

Halford performs the songs in whatever tuning they were recorded (except Silent Scream, which is a half-step lower).

So does it mean that Judas Priest are calling it a day after the final tour, or will they continue to make music.

As far as we know, they're retiring the band. Halford has said he'd like to continue his solo band.

i know every band has to retire at some point. It's a shame that's all, such a great band. looking on Wikipedia.... Rob Is 59, Glen Is 63, K.K is 59, Ian Is 59, Scott Is 49.

I know this is the wrong place to post it, but i will be gutted when Iron Maiden retire, they are one of my fav bands. Bruce Is 52, Steve Is 54, Dave Is 53, Janick Is 53, Adrian Is 53, Nicko Is 58. I'm imagining they will retire in the next 5 years.

yup sucks for me cause I got into the metal scene late and now all my favorite bands are starting to disappear (Dio, Priest, Maiden soon)...
Oh well, at least their music lives on! Smile

This news sucks, but . . I can totally understand why they wanna stop with the massive world tours . They have been touring for 30+ years, and Im sure it sucks, city after city, hotel after hotel , not knowing where the hell ya even are at times . What does this mean, no more tours at all ? smaller venues ? No more PRIEST ? I'm confused !!!!!

Sadly, i'm thinking it's no more priest, but to be honest, i think everybody is on too good of terms to just 'retire' i'm sure they'll come back once and a while maybe to do a festival or something but who knows!

i would think the same thing....and Rob's voice would be so much better without the massive tours because it is enough to wear down any voice
