Hey all.

What are some of the things you remember from when you were a little kid, earliest memories?

i'm now 36 years old. my earliest memory i can recall is being about 7 years old, and getting a Raleigh Burner bmx for christmas. Plus around the same time watching the old Snowman cartoon on channel 4 (uk tv). plus having He-man action figures. And watching Worzel Gummidge.

I remember the introductions of the personal computer, video cassette players, Sony Walkmans, microwave ovens, surround sound, cell phones, compact discs... all things you couldn't live without today (or their later adaptations).

In the late 80's you could still buy black and white TV's. You could buy books of black and white racial jokes. Political correctness hadn't taken hold yet.

I remember everything in the 70's was brown and orange and green. I remember when regular gas had lead in it. You could get regular or unleaded. I remember when Coke changed to New Coke.

I remember when the milkman delivered milk to the house everyday. I remember when kids grew up in the same house with the same parents all their lives. For the most part, men worked, women took care of the home.

Damn... I'm old.

My only childhood memory is crawling inside a snow castle which collapsed on me and I got stuck under some snow....that's pretty much it. I have no idea how old I would have been...maybe 5 or something like that...but that's it. No other memories really.

I remember when I was 3 or 4. Just barely though. I remember being able to flip between speaking Finn and English. I've lost most of the Finn though. I understand bits and pieces.
I remember dial tv's without videon. That's what what we called cable then. I remember pong was the video game of the day. You get a pack of smokes for a buck ten instead of a ten and buck. I remember registering for hockey only costing $8 while baseball only cost 6.
When I was 5 movies cost 95 cents to get into, and I could ride the bus for a dime. Chocolate bars were 12 cents and you add a bag of chips for 13 more. A dollar was hard to come by then.

Memories of many deep circumstances that have helped to create the person I am today. A combination of a beautiful childhood and a muse in the genes...especially the grey matter! Here stands glory Laughing PowerKnight Twisted Evil

I remember when I was a small boy, not sure the age, but probably 1975(4 years old maybe) my parents owned a Ford Pinto Wagon(with faux panel sides haha). We were at my grandparents, car was parked in the drive, which had a slope down to the street. My oldest brother gets in it, and somehow gets it out of gear and it rolls into the street. That is probably my earliest memory.

Also, when I was growing up in Wisconsin, I used to go sledding down the hill behind my house. We used to get some really good snows, perfect for sledding, and also for playing hockey in the driveway, after shoveling the driveway of course.

I saw Star Wars at a drive-in theatre. One where you clipped the speaker onto the window. Laughing
