I'm getting a dead link but I can gather from the thread title what it's about. You've got one of the best metal bands there's ever been and the best musical collaboration in history for a killer tour. Doesn't matter who's singing, cause when you have two bands like that on the same bill you're bound for a fantastic show.

I'm pretty sure this is just for a festival or something similar.

awsome, i hope the Motorhead/Heaven and Hell/Priest tour falls through for North America cause that would be a kick ass tour, throw Yngwie or Beyond Fear on the bill and i am in heavy metal heaven!

Well, it's now official as per Iced Earth's official page. Amazing that even in a statement probably not directly from Jon Schaffer the guy comes off as such an arrogant prick.

Quote:
ICED EARTH CONFIRM JUDAS PRIEST OPENING SLOTS IN EUROPE
While hard at work on their new album, ICED EARTH are announcing more dates for what is shaping up to be a very busy summer. On top of performing at festivals across Europe, the band has just accepted to be special guest to JUDAS PRIEST in Holland, Germany and Switzerland.

You do not 'accept' a slot from Priest. You are granted a slot with Priest. You are blessed with a slot from Priest. Priest accept you. Doesn't matter if Priest invited you, they must then accept you. FUCK IF ONLY TIM DIDN'T LEAVE THEN WE COULD'VE HAD ENCORES OF BULLET TRAIN AND MACHINE MAN.

well they were invited by JP to come tour, so obviously they were blessed the spot from JP. They wouldn't invite you to tour if they didn't accept you.

Haha - exactly. Priest makes an invitation and Iced Earth accepts, what's so wrong about that? Just the IE bashers looking to twist their words around....

It's the same with any band. I'm by no means bashing IE.

Oh and bands do invite other bands even if they don't accept them. Megadeth - Pantera and G'N'R - Eagles Of Death Metal spring to mind straight away.
