For me, hell fucking yes it is.
For pretty much everyone else, not really. It can probably be defined as a cult-classic and as such deserves a little exposition of it's own. I'm not saying it can be classed as a classic in the means of Sad Wings or Stained Class or even Defenders, but it was a classic in it's own right.
For me. _________________

British Steel is a classic...and Jugulator easily, Ripper performs miracles on this brilliant metal album. Demolition is a good modern metal Priest album, but I think some of the material is weaker and in that I think you can feel Rob`s presence missing. PowerKnight _________________ Joust With Thee

I've always loved the fact that every Judas Priest album is different. Thats why I was so upset with AOR, it was like they were playing off the nostalgia given to them. However, Nostradamus is my favorite Halford/Priest album by far. I have THOROUGHLY enjoyed it.
Its funny Jugulator is over ten years old. Its so heavy, I love it. It was my first Priest album, and Ripper's voice hit me like a tidal wave. When I listen to it and compare it to Beyond Fear or his few recordings with that "power-metal-band-going-unmentioned" I hear the growth in his talent. _________________

I agree, but I still liked AOR.
And I still can't get into Nostradamus, although it gets a little better with each listen. And I only rarely listen to it. _________________

JUG is heavy as fuck, JP 's heaviest album by far, much heavier then PK , but isn't a "classic album" by any standards . . . IMO . If ya were to go up to a JP fan and ask then name 3 songs off JUG , they would really have to think about it, where as lets say BS , SFV , PK, it would be cake .
Just my 2 cents, doesn't matter . _________________ RIP BULLETPROFF !!!! |
