Well, I ripped this through LAME and decided to share it here. I can't really get in trouble for it cause Priest aren't signed to SPV anymore. And I mean, Johnny is hosting it in shit quality on his site. This is in the highest quality, only for the guys on here. And the few thousand lurkers you get through Google. Seriously, whenever you search for anything related to any of these posts you always get this forum. So hey, here's Tim's first and last writing credited Priest track.

Nothing special. That production doesn't help either. More of a novelty than anything else. Not to discredit Tim's writing abilities, but it doesn't really sound like anything. Doesn't sound like Priest, Beyond Fear or even Winter's Bane. Just sounds.. goofy. Not complaining though. _________________

I don't think it's an outstanding track, but it's okay. It fits in well with the rest of Demolition.
How much was Tim's involvement in writing this song? He didn't write the whole thing, obviously. So how much of it is his? _________________

I like it. It does definitely fit Demolition. It is a good song, in my opinion. _________________

I have stuck a post on this track recently, probably here in this Priest section. It`s a weak affair but like someone mentioned how much control did Tim have co-writing it anyway. It was Priest`s vehicle and I think that this was the presumption in Tim joining with Priest.
Glenn and KK like to remain in complete control and this has been witnessed with Rob`s solo stuff. Glenn disliked the fact Rob gave the track Heart Of A Lion I think, to another band? What with Halford covering many Priest classics included in the live set and in that I mean they weren`t just covered but done with brilliance with the Halford band. You can bet your life Glenn must have been going ape! PowerKnight _________________ Joust With Thee

I believe that Priest with Ripper and the harsh guitar tone did the Priest classics more justice live than either Fight or Halford live. _________________

I agree. Halford, and Fight were just ok bands, nothing new, nothing mind blowing. I always thought they sounded too much like JP. _________________

I disagree, Halford were a cracking metal band, okay it was very similar to what Priest have always done. But whan you consider the calibre of some modern metal acts Rob and Halford put them in their place easily. The studio albums proved it, the live set was incredible, Bobby Jarzombek is one of the finest metal drummers around.
He beats Scott Travis hands down...PowerKnight _________________ Joust With Thee

They still have that harsh guitar tone now. They haven't gone back to their previous sounds for the classics when they play live. _________________

Oh yeah but it's cleaned up quite a bit. A real sci-fi kind of tone, but not in a Satch way. Really spatial, you know? _________________

The HALFORD band was the shit as well as was FIGHT , just listen to the new remasters and remixes . I dunno if Bobby J is better then Scott, but it's a close race between both of them, Really 2 totally differnt styles of drumming if ya watch them play . _________________ RIP BULLETPROFF !!!! |

Scott lays down a basic beat and that`s the way Glenn and KK probably want it. Sure he is a great drummer, and in fact limited as Priest tend to go for a drummer that keeps up with them. It`s always been that way with Priest through the years. Drum sound I take Scott over Bobby, but for an out and out drummer it`s easily Bobby.
Listen to all the fills he puts in as well as holding a basic drum beat, this guy is nuts...does all strange things behind the kit. Rob has said he is the best metal drummer he has ever worked with.
If you want the best drummer Priest have ever had it`s Les Binks...Stained Class and Killing Machine not forgetting the live Unleashed In The East. But checkout Les drumming style and sound on Killing Machine...I thought I would never hear the day when a drummer would sound louder than John "Bonzo" Bonham and Cozy Powell.
Okay it`s a studio album, but it`s the loudest drum sound I have ever heard in my entire life.
I`m sure Les had explosives under the drum skins...it`s totally f*****g beserk. He was also a very funky type drummer, word has it they got rid of him regarding money issues! What a shame, oh and check the remastered Unleashed In The East.
The bonus tracks, the Delivering The Goods drum solo, short but played with ferocity and lightning speed. Between Bobby and Les I think Les has the edge...but it`s a very close call.
Les Binks one of Priest`s most underrated ex muso`s and one of the very best HM drummers there ever was. PowerKnight _________________ Joust With Thee

I think What's My Name is a good song. It sounds like it was for airplay. I compare it to Maiden's Women In Uniform. _________________
