Yep. Look it up for yourself. I'll be grabbing the retail so I helped myself to a download. And seeing as Octopussy is on tonight I won't be able to listen to it until tomorrow morning.
Edit: HOLY FUCK. I CANNOT BELIEVE IT. THE VOCALS ARE AS DISTANT AS THEY WERE IN THE SAMPLES. Once again Tim has taken the back seat to an insurmountable ego and for the first time in his career he has actually been mixed into insignificance.
First thoughts are of disappointment. _________________

When you said he's been mixed down I first thought "It's probably not that bad" but FUCK he sounds hollow as fuck. Yngwie strikes again. Bleh. _________________ I don't need a sig! |

I haven't listened to it, but it doesn't surprise me. This is a Malmsteen record, not an Owens record. I would expect the mix to place the highlight on the guitar, with the rest of the musicians/instruments being support in the background.
And no leak until two days before the release date. That must be a record. _________________

I'll wait to hear the record before I'll review it in anyway. _________________

Dude, even Yngwie's guitar has been compressed and sounds entirely restricted. It's not like the emphasis is solely on Yngwie. The fucking snare drum is louder than Tim. _________________

I think it kicks ass even though that drunk-ass Sweed plays all the guitars!

| Magic City is the one track that Yngwie steps in and takes over the vocals for this bluesy number. |

I don't think it sounds that bad.
Vocals are good, of course. Just not my style of music. _________________
