I think it's a tight record with a good production. But strangely I find myself thinking that the songs on the BF record were better written.
My only major gripe with Tim's performance is that EVERY line has a long, wide vibrato delivery. I guess this is in reaction to him saying that music written by others for him to perform on never gives him room to breathe. Well now he has plenty Razz

The clip of the bonus track sounds good on iTunes. I'll have to buy it soon. Appice has one of the most distinctive drum styles.

itunes is gay. My wife has a Ipod. I hate the thing. In order for you to upload songs onto it, you have to go to itunes website, regardless if you are buying from there or not. Other mp3 players will sync off of windows media player. I guess I will go buy the extra song, and load it on my wife's ipod.

I, too, think the BF songs are a whole lot stronger. This record is really good, though.

So I've been having an all Ripper fest the last few days and I've noticed a few things: I like the Beyond Fear album a lot more now then when it came out. I just felt it was weak in the writing department, but over the last few days, I've realized how good it is. I think the solo release will take some time to grow on me in the same vain.

I think what it is with me, and the Beyond Fear cd, is the songs on there are crushing tunes. They are in your face, and very aggressive, which is what I really like. I love the songs on the new cd. I think the reason I like The Light, and The Cover Up is they are more crazy, aggressive.
