| Well we all know KISS puts on a hell of a show... i've seen them twice the past 2 years and they kicked ass with all the pyro and their stage show... so it is possible... but I think it's KISS' way of making up for their slacking musical talent... I just don't think any other bands want to put in that much effort! |
Cooper, Zombie...those two fuckers still put on a hell of a show! some bands just don't need or see the need for pyro anymore...some of them DON'T need it cause they ARE the show, alot of bands play smaller venues where pyro is not an option but i can Priest putting on one last HUGE mega show for their farewell tour...call it a hunch _________________ The bass player/vocalist for In Through the Out Door and the bass player/backup vokills for Die Deader |

I must say I prefer the more simple stage set for JP, like what they did on the Jugultor tour.
I like big stage shows, like KISS and Iron Maiden, but that fits those bands more than a big stage show for JP. _________________

It seems that those big stage shows were very 80's thing...none of the big bands do them anymore....Maiden in some degree, but even they have tuned it down quite a bit.
But then again I for one don't give a shit about the stage set as long as the music kicks ass....
I believe that the reason for the tuned down stage sets is the increased need for security on venues...especially here in the EU...everything needs to be so so so safe. |
I think you're right. But for me, I go to concerts to see a performance.
For a hundred dollars, I hope to see more than just some guys on a stage. I can listen to the music any time. _________________
