I watched part of that on VH1 Classic. It looks like a real good show. Geddy is looking a lot older. He can still play like a hell! _________________

I really like Mark Zonder. He plays/played with Fates Warning. He is very percussiony(if that is a word). He uses a lot of different cymbals, like Neil does. I just love Mark's grooves. I don't play drums, but he makes me want to learn. _________________

oh yeah. I have been a Fates fan since 1987. I really dig them. Haha, have you seen that Ray cut all his hair off? He looks like George Lopez with a smaller head _________________

no, but I saw pictures from a recent show, and it is short. There is nothing wrong with that, just a big change. _________________

I have always stated that Rush progressed far too quickly, what do I mean? With the launchpad of 2112 that pushed them into the supergroup league, their inspiration that continued with the fantasy escapism albums came to an abrupt end in 79 with Permanent Waves. I still think they could have pushed out another few albums before changing their musical direction. 2112 the whole first side is their finest hour, in my opinion, and should have carried it through to side two. ^^ I agree. IMO, most of side 2 is just filler. Passage to Bangkok is great, but the others aren't too hot. I wished they continued with their progressive music instead of the shorter poppier tunes as seen on Permanent Waves (Spirit of Radio, Freewill) but I still consider that album as one of their best.
I'm hoping the new album will have at least one longer song (around 8 minutes), they haven't put out one of those in decades!
But then again, any Rush is great Rush (except Presto)...I'll be happy with their new album no matter what _________________

So, right now it's looking like a March/April album release along with a summer/fall tour. I am really going to try and catch a couple shows on this tour, who knows how much longer they'll keep going _________________
