Since this is a BOOKS and Movies section, might as well get a thread in there.

I used to read a lot more last year before college and during the summer, no time now though. However, some of my favourite books/plays have to be:

A Man for All Seasons - Robert Bolt
Keep the Aspidistra Flying - George Orwell
The Dirt - Motley Crue
The Crucible - Arthur Miller
Inherit the Wind - Jerome Lawrence
Grateful Dead bio (can't remember the name, but written by their ex-manager).

As you can tell, I'm mostly for the band bios and classics. What are all your favs?

I love Steven King. I have all of his books on hardcover. My favorite of those would probably be Pet Cemetary, and Tommyknockers.

I haven't read many of his books, but 'The Girl who Loved Tom Gordon' was amazing. Not exactly scary, but still pretty unsettling.

not all Steven King are scary, but many will make you think, which is what I like about them.

I don't read all that much, but I've read several Steven King books. Every one of them was excellent.

The last novel I read was the Davinci Code about a year ago. Very good book. I have Demons and Angels here, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I have been reading Gene Simmons' latest book called Sex, Money, Kiss

It is pretty good, more of his thoughts on making money, and how it pertains to the big picture of life.

If I had to pick just one novel, then it`s Ayn Rand/Anthem...yes the one Rush drummer Neil Peart cites as a work of genius. A very basic but powerful sci-fi philisophical poetic stance that will leave you breathless. It`s beauty is unsurpassed, a deserved classic. PowerKnight Twisted Evil

Great book indeed!

More classics that I love will have to be 'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley, and even 'Hamlet' by Shakespeare was a great read (would have been better if we didn't have to analyze it to death in school).

I'm not a big fan of fiction. It has to be really good to keep my attention! The last one I read was Angels and Demons.

I prefer historical or biographical books. Right now I'm reading a book called "The Last American Man." It's a great book about a guy named Eustace Conway from Boone, N. Carolina who quite literally lives in the woods. He left home when he was 17 and moved into the woods to live off the land. He's a big time conservationist who teaches people how to survive and live off the land. It's very interesting!

I've been reading tons this summer, mostly plays as they are short and fun to read. So far I've read all of Arthur Miller's plays (his most famous being 'The Crucible' and 'Death of a Salesman'. Every single one of his books were well written and always kept me reading till the end.

Highly recommended author Smile
